How do I run an automation, like emailing a lead magnet, when someone submits my form?
Every form can run an agent workflow when it is submitted.
- Create the form with the fields you need (for example name, email and phone), either by asking the AI or by dragging and dropping fields. Save it with a clear name, such as lead capture form, and publish it.
- In the form builder, click the button to run an agent workflow when this form is submitted, and choose to create a new agent. This opens the workflow builder with the form submission trigger already set for that form.
- Add your steps. For a lead magnet, add an Email step, write the email and attach or link your PDF or guide. Other examples are an order confirmation or a thank you email.
- Add follow-up steps if you want, such as wait a day, then another email or SMS, to keep the lead in a sequence.
A lead magnet delivery can be just two steps: the form trigger and an email. Deliver the lead magnet by email rather than showing a download link on the page, so the person has to give a real email address and you capture the lead. A lead magnet page can be as short as a hero section with the form.
In a funnel, a page with a form lets you draw a line from the form to an email that is sent when the form is submitted, so you can set this up right in the funnel builder.
To see what already runs for a form, check the triggers in your agent workflows for a form submission trigger on that form. You can also ask the AI assistant (the orb) to change the form or its automation.
After the email goes out, keep in touch: email and call the lead to check they got it, answer questions and offer a demo.
